Lot 1472

1894 Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 65. Bright with just a whisper of gold toning on either side, the surfaces remain pristine for a proof, with no marks, ticks or hairlines worthy of note. 972 were struck in proof, most of which were mishandled over the years. This one is still superb, and PCGS agrees. In the PCGS Population Report we note 27 have been graded as PR-65, with 14 graded higher of this date.
Estimated Value $3,000 - 3,500.
From the Benson collection and purchased from B. Max Mehl on July 29, 1945 for $11.00.

Realized $6,900
