1938 Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 66. Light cloudy toning on both sides, with a hint of gold near the edge. Sharp on the devices, but the dies appear to have been overly polished, as Liberty's back foot shows no details on toes and arch, and the flag is weak below the I of LIBERTY.
Estimated Value $600 - 650.
From the Benson collection and purchased from Ira S. Reed on March 3, 1944 as part of a 1938 proof set for $7.50.
