The Man Who Sent Letters and Postcards To The Moon: Friedrich Schmiedl. One Cover Signed by Buzz Aldrin COA by Zarelli. History: Friedrich Schmiedl (philatelist and retired rocket technician in Austria) made news in Europe and eventually the US for mailing post cards to the moon during the Apollo Missions. He addressed them formally to the landing points of the moon. But it was how they came back with legitimate cancels whether from Austria, Kennedy Space Center. One that was mailed in 1969 addressed to Buzz Aldrin on the moon mailed from Austria found its way to Aldrin and was autographed by him. Letter of Authenticity by Steve Zarelli
