Original Apollo Space Suit Glove Hand Mold: Used with the A6L, A7L and A7LB Space Suit Configurations. Apollo space suits and gloves were custom made for every astronaut. The process of making both intra-vehicular and extra-vehicular gloves for the Apollo program involved first making a cast of the individual astronaut's hands, then further detailed black rubber hand molds were created by NASA model makers to be used as the dipping molds for producing their flight gloves. Offered is a rare opportunity to acquire such a dipping mold. The following numbers are present on the base and wrist of the mold: Contract No. NASA-9-6100, Part No. A6L-103011, T-879-2, Part No. A7L-0215 (Is reversed on mold so the end product would have it show up correctly). This type of glove can be easily noticed when viewing examples of intravehicular gloves as opposed to extravehicular versions which are covered by extra layers. Dipping mold comes with a fact sheet and more detailed information which has two photos in the text of a dipping mold and a finished glove. Excellent condition. Estimated Value $1,000 - 1,500
