Lot 669

Theropod Dinosaur Claw From Hell Creek Formation. This light brown 1 ¼ inch hand claw was found on a private ranch in the 66 million year old Hell Creek Formation of Dawson County, Montana. It is nearly complete with excellent detail including the blood grooves in the bone missing only a tiny portion of the tip. What makes this high quality dinosaur bone interesting is that it could be from a Juvenile T-rex or from a Chirostenotes dinosaur which was a toothless oviraptor. The shape of their claws are remarkably similar unlike the shape of an adult T-rex. Estimated Value $400 - 600
