Lot 664

Important T-Rex Vertebra and Teeth Fragments. T-Rex is the most famous of all dinosaurs and any fossil from a T-Rex is highly sought after. This lot includes a partial vertebra that is 6 X 5 inches missing the neural spines. T-Rex had more than 70 such vertebrae along its spine and tail. This partial vertebra has the unusual honeycomb pattern with air holes seen on T-Rex vertebrae that reduced the weight of the bones. Also, found in the same area as the vertebrae are three tooth fragments, the largest being 1 ¼ inch long all having nice brown enamel preserved. Most dinosaur finds consist of a few broken bones and not anything complete and impressive. These rare 67 million year old T-Rex bones were found the Hell Creek Formation on a private ranch in Dawson County, Montana. Estimated Value $600 - UP

Realized $400
