Lot 568

Hellenistic Bronze Medallion/Fragment of a Woman Facing Left Possibly Cleopatra, Mounted in a Simple Modern 14K Yellow Gold Ring. Unusual lady's ring boasting a Hellenistic era bronze, a medallion or possibly a fragment of something larger with a relic quality bust of a female facing left possibly Cleopatra or certainly a woman of means. Oval is 1 x ¾" and on underside, the presumption to have the ring appear "finished" the underside of medallion is enameled in earthen colors which obviously can be seen when the ring is off the finger. Ring is a size 7 with a total gross weight of 10.23 grams, quite striking and most certainly wearable. Photo is murky, but look for the woman facing left. Estimated Value $300 - 600
From the property of an East Coast collector acquired prior to 1979.

Realized $325
