Two (2) Pre-Colombian Mayan, Polychrome Terracotta Bowls: Copador and Chalice Shaped Bowl. Two fine Pre-Columbian polychrome terracotta bowls.
1.) Copador bowl decorated with polychrome slip colors of black and red with two of four panels decorated with geometric designs. In choice condition, bowl measures 3 x 5 x 5" with rounded bottom likely from Honduras. No cracks, chips or repairs
2.) Pedestal bowl in polychrome slip colors in black and reds in concentric geometric designs throughout with three nodules on opposing sides for decoration. One contusion to mouth of bowl has been repaired decades past as well as a small repair along bottom of pedestal 4 x 5½ x 5½". Nevertheless a very handsome piece that displays nicely.
