"White Buffalo" Kachina Doll and "White Cloud" Kachina Doll, Both Exceptionally Well Carved and Decorated. Two of the more recognizable Kachina dolls, the White Buffalo and the White Cloud dancers.
1.) The White Buffalo is instantly recognizable by the horns and fur & feather headdress. The loin cloth and teepee bag are made of rabbit hide painted in colors and the chest harness is adorned with tiny shells. Carved by Ron Largo, very well known in the collector's universe who has signed under the base. 14" tall and quite the piece.
2.) White Cloud Kachina represents the beauty of the clouds in the sky and thought to bring moisture to the clouds to bring rain. Large wood mask can be removed and reveals a wood carved head with straight black hair made of fur. Full fur coat with a ceremonial apron made of hide. Carved and decorated by Julie Loley signed and titled under base. Estimated Value $250 - 500
