Monty Hall Collection: Typed Letters Signed by Jonas Salk, Armand Hammer, Barron Hilton and R.C. Guccione (1921-2017) The Monty Hall Collection of letters sent to him by a host of notables for his philanthropy and character. The man behind LET'S MAKE A DEAL and his wife, Marilyn were clearly admired by politicians, business leaders and highly regarded by his fellow entertainers as evident in a collection of wonderful letters in this auction. 1.) Jonas Salk letter to Hall regarding his study of Multiple Sclerosis and the conversation they had regarding the studies in San Diego weeks earlier. Hall emceed MS fundraisers and was seeking further information regarding Salk's latest work.
2.) Armand Hammer thanking Hall for hosting an event and sending a copy of his recent book on his art collection. On Occidental Petroleum Corporation letterhead as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and dated 10/12/82.
3.) Barron Hilton on personal letterhead customized for the holidays and thanking Hall and his wife Marilyn for a generous donation to Variety Children's Charity.
4.) Bob Guccione on Penthouse letterhead (Penthouse Publications, London) dated June 24, 1974 regarding a television special on eccentric people and inquiring how did Hall's taping of "Sex in the Seventies". Estimated Value $500 - 800
