Dickens, Charles: Fine Collection of a Holograph Sentence, a Handwritten Note and Two Addressed Covers. Also Two Related Pieces. Charles Dickens, likely the greatest novelist of the Victorian Era a collection of his handwriting and other pieces: A holograph sentence, two addressed covers, one with his wax seal on verso and one note to Mrs. Bryan W. Procter all clearly in his hand but none with his signature. Holograph sentence reads "and all not be forgotten in their practices". Also included is an ALS by Dickens' son Henry Fielding Dickens on letterhead imprinted 8 Mulberry Walk, S.W. dated 1927 who authored "Memories of my Father" writes to a gentleman declining to write an intro for a book. Also included a four page letter written by George Dunlop Leslie who recalls his father and Dickens engaged in an art deal. Leslie sent these recollections to British wood-engraver, author, and illustrator, Frederick George Kitton, best known for illustrating and editing the works of Charles Dickens. All in fine to excellent condition. Estimated Value $400 - 600
