Andy Warhol, Robert Indiana and Jasper Johns: Boldly Signed and Flawless Signatures all Three Influencers of the Pop-Art Movement. Three of the most celebrated figures in the pop-art movement are Andy Warhol, Robert Indiana and Jasper Johns.
1.) Andy Warhol: Superior, boldly signed 3 x 5" by Andy Warhol with a Letter of Authenticity by James Spence & Associates. Quite framable with portrait included, but signed 3 x 5" cards are in themselves highly prized by collectors.
2.) Robert Indiana: Iconic creator of his "Love" print first used as a Christmas card, later an iconic sculpture and then exploded with the 1973 8¢ postage stamp. Offered is a signed First Day of Issue cover with the 8¢ stamp affixed and postmarked in Philadelphia, "City of Brotherly Love" boldly signed by Robert Indiana
3.) Jasper Johns: Fine inscription and autograph on 2 x 3½" note "Regrets - J. Johns". This note was sent with the return of 3 postcards of "Target with Four Faces" that he was asked to sign which are also included. But he did sign a cover of TIME available in another lot in this auction. Estimated Value $600 - 900
