Fine French 18K Yellow Gold & Translucent Cobalt Enamel Pocket Watch By Daniel Vauchez ca. 1780s. Daniel-François Vauchez had a workshop in the Rue St-Pierre-aux-Boeufs in Paris from 1769 to 1790; he signed his timepieces "Vauchez à Paris" and "Vauchez en la Cité". After his death, six of his nine children also became watchmakers in Paris and his sons continued the business as Fréres Vaucher.
This beautiful lady's antique watch has a double border of pearls with the back of the case ornamented with a radial guilloche pattern, translucent cobalt blue enamel and centered with an applied gold round foliate medallion. As key wind key missing, watch is untested but the internal works appear quite pristine. 1¾ x 1¼ and with a total gross weight 37.20 grams. Estimated Value $2,000 - 3,500
