Gwen Hughes. "Chewing The Fat" (Three Pieces) Gwen Hughes, an artist for over 40 years is very well known throughout the US by virtue of her gallery shows in major cities. In California, she is well known for her works represented by the prestigious Coda Gallery in Palm Desert. Offered are three sculptures by Hughes, very much exhibiting her humor and quality that we have entitled collectively "Chewing the Fat". A cow, a horse and a pig very much convey ranch hands sitting on a porch making conversation.
It took two years to build this set and it is absolutely charming and looks great when displayed together. We note no chips, cracks or repairs. The horse is 16 x 8 x 7", the cow 13 x 8 x 8" and the pig 9½ x 6 x 5". Will be shipped in individual boxes. Do research on the internet for her work. While her Wordpress page has not been updated in years, there is much information on galleries and auctions. Great pieces and a lot of fun all three signed by artist. Estimated Value $700 - 1,200
