Gene Zesch. "I'm An Old Cowhand From The Rio Grande" Bronze Sculpture. Coined "The Definitive Sculptor of Texas Ranching Life" what that fine superlative overlooks is Gene Zesch's sense of humor in a great majority of his works. Honored with numerous one-man shows at a great number of Western Art Institutions his works can also be seen in leading galleries throughout the US. Check out genezesch.com for so much more information. Speaking of humor, this painted bronze work is almost without peer. A 50 gallon hat (and then some), dated hipster sunglasses, dude ranch chaps, turquoise boots and Elvis sideburns all worn by a singing cowboy with amplifiers strapped to the back of his hapless steed, guitar in tow. 12 x 7 x 12" and weighs 14.4 pounds. Absolutely great and in perfect condition.
Note: sculpture screws onto plinth which will separated for shipping. Estimated Value $2,500 - 5,000
From the Collection of Sally Ann Skeoch.
