Hirschfeld, Al. "James Cagney, Yankee Doodle Dandee" Signed & Numbered Lithograph. (1903-2003) Immensely popular American caricaturist who also proved one of the most important figures in contemporary illustrations influencing two generations of artists, cartoonist and illustrators with his pure lines in black ink. During his 80 years actively working, Hirschfeld chronicled nearly all the major entertainment figures of the 20th century on stage, film, radio and television. Goldberg Auction's is auctioning nearly 20 of his signed, numbered, limited edition lithographs of some of his most popular works.

"James Cagney, Yankee Doodle Dandy" Musical biography of George M. Cohan, with James Cagney giving an Oscar winning performance that is as surprising and refreshing today as it was then. Hirschfeld nails Cagney's show stopping dancing and cocky demeanor. Examined in frame, lithograph appears to be in mint condition, no fading whatsoever to the colors in the American flag 21 x 15 framed to 32 x 26" 54/200. Estimated Value $700 - 1,200
