Hirschfeld, Al. "Casablanca" Signed Edition APXX/XXX. (1903-2003) Al Hirschfeld combined black and white linear drawing with portraiture to develop one of the most innovative and iconic visual languages. Known as one of the most influential caricaturists in history, Hirschfeld went on to capture countless celebrities and Broadway stars with little more than his expressive black lines; a career with the NY Times spanning 75 years. CASABLANCA considered one of the greatest films in American cinema history, generation after generation, is captured here with the farewell scene of Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. 19½ x 15½", signed in lower right corner by Hirschfeld in pencil, Edition APXX/XXX, presented in a cloth mat and in superior condition.
