(1903-2003) Al Hirschfeld combined black and white linear drawing with portraiture to develop one of the most innovative and iconic visual languages. Known as one of the most influential caricaturists in history, Hirschfeld went on to capture countless celebrities and Broadway stars with little more than his expressive black lines; a career with the NY Times spanning 75 years. KEY LARGO was the fourth and final pairing of Bogart & Bacall which co-starred Edward G. Robinson and Claire Trevor and proved a classic of the film noir genre. Hirschfeld has captured perfectly this husband and wife team who were married for 12 years until his death, in costume for Key Largo. 20 x 15", signed in lower right corner, edition 123/200 presented in cloth mat and in superior condition.
