Five Stars of RKO Pictures as Talented as They Were Beautiful: Ginger Rogers, Rosalind Russell, Bonita Granville and Two of Anne Shirley. Five great talents under the RKO Pictures banner for a time in the 30s and 40s. Stunning 8 x 10" double weight portraits likely all shot by Ernest Bachrach. All are inscribed to Marilyn Jacobs, a presence at RKO and the wife of a major executive. The two legendary stars in this collection are certainly Ginger Rogers and Rosalind Russell with Rogers having her 5 Golden Era film classics with Fred Astaire all triumphs of the musical and dance genre, and Russell with MORNING BECOMES ELECTRA, VELVET TOUCH and more. Anne Shirley triumphed in ANNE OF THE GREEN GABLES and then later in her last film, quite memorable opposite Dick Powell in the classic MURDER MY SWEET. Bonita Granville nominated at age 13 for THESE THREE and starred in other films but retired and went into production and then built owned and operated with her husband the Disneyland Hotel.
