Rare Harry Houdini & Wife Bess Cabinet Card and Two-Page British Promotional Flyer for The Hippodrome in Sheffield, England, 1920s (1874-1926) 1.) Very rare 1901 original cabinet card, 6½ x 4¼", F. Gutekhunst, Philadelphia of legendary magician, escape artist, actor and stunt performer Harry Houdini and his wife, Bess. Both performed together touring the world, she as his assistant almost his entire career. Cabinet card has a tiny circle stain above Philadelphia in border otherwise in choice condition. On verso is handwriting addressing the year. A treasure for any level of collector.
2.) Equally rare is this two page program insert/herald for the Hippodrome, Sheffield advertising his engagement at the historic theater likely from the early 20's given there is a phone number listed. Flyer has paper loss along center fold but all four sides of the herald are clean with no staining. Estimated Value $900 - 1,200
