The man behind LET'S MAKE A DEAL and his wife, Marilyn were clearly admired by politicians, business leaders and highly regarded by his fellow entertainers as evident in a collection of wonderful letters in this auction. Twelve letters to Monty Hall spanning 1973-1999 by entertainers and famed writers know for their work in television. All of the letters are sincere and heartfelt letters to Hall for his emceeing numerous events and praise for his performance. Three (3) handwritten letters by Sherwood Schwartz, Larry Gelbart and Arthur Hiller and nine (9) typed letters signed by Steve Allen, Phyllis Diller, Bob and Dolores Hope, Howard Keel, Shari Lewis, Norman Lear, Art Linkletter, Dinah Shore and Milton Berle with a funny postscript "I never knew you could deliver and get such big laughs……….I HATE YOU!"
