$1 National Bank Note. Charter Oak NB, Hartford, CT. Ch. 486. Fr. 380b. PMG Very Fine 20. Chartered in July 1864, the Charter Oak National Bank would last until liquidation in February 1915. This lovely Ace has been off the market since 2013, and boasts a bright red seal and charter numbers. A slight "New England trim" as the left edge is the only mention on this unmolested note that still carries the pen signatures of Jonathan Morris as Cashier and Charles T. Hillyer as President.
