$1 National Bank Note. First NB of Litchfield, CT. Ch. 709. Fr. 380b. PMG Very Good 8, corner repair. Chartered in January 1865, the First would survive the entirety of the National Banking era with this example one of only two Aces currently recorded out of the two dozen large notes known. Great pen signatures of George Jones as Cashier and Henry Coit as President. Some repair work is noted on this note not seen at auction since August 2011. Estimated Value $750 - UP
