Outstanding Large Scarab Ring with Swivel Mount in High Karat Yellow Gold, 1st Millennium B.C. Truly outstanding scarab ring set in a 22K swivel mounted ring. From the 1st Millennium B.C. This is a large limestone scarab, 20.75mm x 14.5 mm, with typical beetle carving on top of scarab. By swiveling the scarab to the underside, it reveals a royal cartouche of a priest, pharaoh or king. The ring is surprisingly large, a size 9¼, with a total gross weight of 14.53 grams the ring itself likely 19th Century. Estimated Value $3,000 - 4,000
