Theodosius II, AD 402-450. Gold Solidus (4.46 g.). Constantinople, AD 402. Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Theodosius II three-quarter facing to r., holding spear and shield. Reverse: CONCORDIA AVGG, followed by officina mark A. Constantinopolis, helmeted, seated facing, hd. r. holding sceptre and Victory on globe, r. foot on prow, no star in field, mint mark CON OB in ex. S-21126; DO 313. Very scarce. We note some tiny marks about the edges. Lustrous Almost Uncirculated. Estimated Value $700 - UP
