Large Complete Slice of Howardite Meteorite From Vesta. NWA 1914 is a rare howardite achondrite meteorite from the asteroid Vesta. Only a single stone weighing 628 grams was found in the Sahara Desert. A howardite is a regolith or surface rock containing fragments from rocks that were mixed by impact on Vesta. This 24.2 gram 61X45X5 mm meteorite has a fresh thick black fusion crust and a light gray matrix with various colored rock fragments interspersed within the matrix. Estimated Value $600 - 1,000
