Huge 4 Inch Long 120 Million Year Old Flying Insect. This remarkably well preserved 120 million year old complete 4 inch long (from the tip of the antennae to the end of its wings) flying insect from the Yixian Formation of Liaoning, China is nicely centered on a 4 ½ X 3 inch limestone matrix. It is a predatory insect perhaps related to modern day wasps at least in its shape. Whatever it was, this particular type of insect is now extinct. Estimated Value $250 - UP
