4 Vintage Sports Related Publications: 1940 World Series Program, 1949 East-West All-Star Game, 1941 Play Ball, Booklet of 440 Players Sigatures. Terrific collection of scarce sports related publications. 1.) The best of the collection, a 1940 World Series Program between the Cincinnati Reds and Detroit Tigers at Crosley Field. In excellent unscored condition, vibrant colors, and having only minor evidence of wear, with three tiny paper flecks along the spine, corner tip chip and a one inch thin stain on verso. The Reds topped the Tigers in seven games. 2.) Program for the 1949 East-West All-Star Game at Kezar Stadium between collegiate football teams since 1925 benefiting the Shriner Chrildren's Hospitals. This was the 25th Silver Anniversary game, the program in overall excellent condition. 3.) Very scarce edition of "Play Ball" a 1941 publication that printed a total of 440 baseball signatures, 8 from each league with the approval of all involved. It appears this was the only year of publication. A great reference signature study guide Fine condition. 4.) a 1950s publication called Stubs that printed all the seating plans of New York theaters, music halls and best sports stadiums. We highlight Ebbets Field. Very good condition with cover having signs of age. Estimated Value $200 - 400
