Offered is a lacquer box from Fedoskino beautifully painted depicting the Russian fairytale, "Vasilisa The Beautiful". Included with this box is a brief synopsis of the tale, but know the artwork has many of the elements from the story; the young woman, the doll, the red knight and red horse and the small house she was raised in the forest. 2 x 8 x 5" boasting fine artistry and details including the elaborate scroll work on the sides.
