Influential Black Entertainers 1930s-1970s: Calloway, Fitzgerald, Ross, Davis Jr., Louis Armstrong, Horne, Bailey, Basie, James Brown, 8 Groups. Outstanding collection of legendary black performers, over 60 AUTOGRAPHS who through their visibility and music not only entertained millions but also influenced and brought change to Civil Rights. The collection is mostly comprised of signed photos. But there are signed programs, signed 3 x 5" cards and covers. Highlights in include: (2) two 8 x 10s by the Godfather of Soul, James Brown one with a sweat smear on inscription, knockout Diana Ross signed 8 x 10" color photo, 3 photos by Ella Fitzgerald, one 8 x 10" photo signed by Sammy Davis Jr plus one theater program (Davis is frequently secretarial) Harry Belafonte souvenir program, Fats Domino, Members of The Marvelettes, The Chiffons, The Ink Spots, The Coasters, The Drifters, The Temptations, Gladys Knight and the Pips and The Spinners have multi-signed a variety of pieces, Sopranos Marilyn Anderson and Grace Burmbry, 3 x Dianne Warwick, Leslie Uggams, one signed photo and one autograph by Sarah Vaughan, eight (8) autographs by Lena Horne one and outstanding 5 x 7" double weight vintage original photo autographed in blue fountain pen ink from the 1940s, three (3) signed 3 x 5" cards by Richie Havens (Woodstock), two (2) 8 x 10" by Chubby Checkers, Fats Domino, Lionel Richie, Gloria Gaynor, The 5th Dimensions Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., Johnny Mathis, Ben E. King, Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, Smokey Robinson (3) three signed programs by Cab Calloway and one outstanding sepia tinted 8 x 10" photo from Stormy Weather, and three excellent autographs by Louis Armstrong (a large world premiere film ticket from 1957 in NYC, a wonderful vintage 8 x10" photo inscribed to a neighborhood pharmacy that while displaying handling, is terrific and an outstanding autograph on the cover of a 1962 touring program.

Collection also includes seven (7) autographs by Count Basie with six on 3 x 5" cards, Eubie Blake boasting 12 autographs on variety of pieces including several 3 x 5" cards, 8 assorted signed pieces by Pearl Bailey and several signed pieces by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas.
