Lot 530

1794 S-67 R3 Head of 1795 NGC graded VF35. Glossy dark steel and olive brown. No corrosion or verdigris, only minor contact marks. The notable ones are a pinprick between the bases of the B & E in LIBERTY, a faint hairline scratch under the ear lobe, a light scratch on the shoulder, and a rim nick over the E in STATES. Nicely struck MDS, Breen state III, with die clashmarks on the obverse. A nice cent, just toned a bit darker than you might like to see for a cent this sharp. Our grade is VF20+. The attribution and Alfonso Collection provenance are noted on the NGC label. Estimated Value $2,500 - UP
