Lot 517

1794 S-46 R3 PCGS graded VF30, CAC Approved. Glossy light olive and medium brown. Smooth and attractive but there are a few marks. The notable ones are a pre-striking flaw on the rim at the end of the pole, a collection of dull ticks on the neck, a light rim bruise at the C in AMERICA, and some tiny scratches on the E in CENT. M-LDS, Breen state IV late. The die cracks on the obverse are strong and the small, terminal cud break on top of the 4 is just starting to rise. An attractive cent in spite of the few marks. Graded VF30 net VF20 and tied for CC#20 in the Noyes census, his photo #26614. Our grade is net VF20. Comes with a very nice provenance. The attribution and Alfonso Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 7 finer. Estimated Value $2,750 - UP
