1794 S-36 R5 PCGS Fine Details Environmental Damage. Glossy dark steel brown and olive with lighter chocolate brown toning on the highpoints. The surfaces are decent and appear smooth to the unaided eye but a glass reveals microscopic roughness under the glossy toning in the fields and protected areas. No verdigris and just a few contact marks including a small rim bruise over the L in LIBERTY and another over the N in UNITED. Earlier die state, before any visible die cracks on the reverse. The date and legends are complete and clear. Our grade is net VG10. The attribution and Alfonso Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. Estimated Value $1,750 - UP
