Lot 45

1843 N-12 R2 Petite Head, Small Ltrs PCGS graded MS65 Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous light olive brown and tan with generous traces of mint red showing on both sides, especially on the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has excellent eye appeal. Just a few trivial marks including a tiny tick on the tip of the nose and a couple specks of carbon at TED in UNITED. EDS, die state a. All the fine die lines are clear and there are no rim cuds on the reverse. Our grade is MS62+, close to MS63, and tied for CC#10 of the business strikes of the variety. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; none finer. Estimated Value $1,500 - UP
