1841 N-2 R2 PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved. Glossy light brown and olive with traces of tan faded down from mint color in some protected areas on the reverse. The fields are smooth and slightly reflective thanks to a fresh die polishing. The only notable marks are a tiny scratch nestled between star 5 and the coronet, a small nick in the hair over the E in LIBERTY, and a small puff of darker toning above the right side of the N in ONE. MDS, die state b. The lump defects at the date are gone. Our grade is MS63, tied for CC#3 in the Grellman census. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 finer in 65BN. Estimated Value $3,000 - UP
