Herodian Dynasty. Agrippa II under Flavian Rule. AE 20 (6.06 g). Mint at Caesarea Maritima, Year 19 = 78/9 CE. Legend reads (Emperor Titus Caesar Augustus), laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Titus to r. Reverse: Legend reads (year 19 King Agrippa) above galley with oars sailing l. Hendin 1311; TJC 146a. Pleasing dark green patina. Estimated Value $400 - UP
According to Hendin, this issue was struck to commemorate the voyage of Agrippa and Berenice to Rome, where they hoped and expected that Titus would choose her as his wife (he didn't).
