Lot 909

1872. PCGS graded MS-65. A hint of light even toning over highly lustrous surfaces. The strike is amazing and the fields are prooflike as the dies were fresh and fairly new when this one was struck. The surfaces are satin smooth and wonderfully preserved, especially for a Liberty Seated silver dollar. These are rarely encountered in gem grades, and this one is quite solid and impressive in every way. Toned with just a touch of light golden irridescence at the rims, the centers classic light silver and bright. there appears to be a minor bit of date repunching above the 2 near the base of Liberty. A wonderful coin which will please any specialist who demands high quality. Pop 3; only 1 example graded higher in 66+ at PCGS. (PCGS # 6968) Estimated Value $35,000 - UP
