Lot 889

1795. 3 leaves beneath each wing. BB-27, B-5. Rarity-1. PCGS graded VF-25. Lightly toned with pleasing soft gold in the fields that is even and attractive while the devices are light silver. This creates a cameo effect that shows off the head of Liberty in a handsome fashion. Excellent surfaces too, with no rim or surface marks to detract from this lovely coin. A classic type example to represent the 3 leaves variety, and these Flowing Hair dollars were only struck in limited numbers in 1794 and most of 1795. A solid example in every way (PCGS # 6852) Estimated Value $3,500 - 3,600

Realized $6,000
