Lot 828

1904-S. PCGS graded MS-63. This is one of the key dates to the series in Mint State, with precious few surviving, and here is splendid choice example that offers clean surfaces and elegant patina. The strike is sharp and the surfaces are free of all but the most minute signs of handling. Notice how the toning ranges from teal blue at the rims to russet and gold in the fields, with bright silver dominating the centers. A stunning example that will be a major highlight of any advanced collection of Barber half dollars. Lovely blue and gold toning on both sides. Pop 8; 30 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 6500) Estimated Value $13,000 - UP
