1887. NGC graded MS-67 Prooflike. Lovely rainbow toning on both sides that shows as primarily deep russet at the rims, fading to light gold through the fields and stars, then bright silver centers. Well struck with nice prooflike surfaces that are typical of this issue, as only 5,000 pieces were struck so the original mirror finish on the dies never had a chance to wear off with such limited production. One of the scarcest dates of the series and always in high demand. Pop 2; tied for the finest Prooflike examples graded at both services. Estimated Value $8,000 - UP
