Lot 741

1898-O. PCGS graded MS-66. Exceptional eye appeal for the lovely golden obverse toning with deeper blue and russet around the rim, the reverse is more silver white with a dash of peripheral russet. Well struck for this scarce New Orleans issue, with a full cheeck on Liberty and no abrasions present, the reverse with splendid to behold with a strong eagle, well struck claws and wings, and mostly bright surfaces save for the bit of edge toning. A prize for the Barber quarter specialist. A great looking coin. Pop 3; 6 finer, 4 in 66+, 1 in 68, 1 in 68+. (PCGS # 5620) Estimated Value $9,000 - 10,000
