1872-CC. NGC graded AU-55. Mostly white with satiny luster in the fields. This is a key date issue which is nearly impossible to find at all, let alone in high grade like this stunning specimen. The surfaces are smooth and attractive on both sides, with minimal handling marks from brief circulation. Softly struck on the right obverse side on OF AMER which is paritally visible, perhaps there was some grease in the die when this one was coined. As one of the key Carson City coins of the Liberty Seated dime collection, this high grade example must be seriously considered if you are building a high grade date and mint collection. Low mintage of only 35,480. Pop 3; tied for the finest examples graded at NGC. Estimated Value $15,000 - 17,000
