Lot 59

1808 C-3 R1 PCGS graded AU50, CAC Approved. Dark steel brown and olive with traces of lighter reddish steel brown toning in protected areas. The surfaces are a bit dull thanks to uniform extremely fine granularity mixed with a thin layer of natural oxidation, but the eye appeal is decent (hence the high grade assigned by PCGS and the CAC approval). No verdigris or notable marks. EDS, Manley state 1.0. The dentils are clear and there is no trace of vertical die lines in the field before the portrait. The reverse is rotated 20 degrees CCW. Our grade is net VF35. Estimated Value $500 - UP
Ex eBay-Raymond Gatzke Collection.
