Lot 50

1805 C-4 R2- Large 5 with Stems PCGS graded AU55. Very attractive frosty light olive and steel brown. The fields are satiny and this piece has mint state eye appeal in spite of a hint of friction on the highpoints. The only marks, and they are insignificant, are a speck of dark toning (not carbon) in the field left of the lower curls and a tiny planchet chip in the field above those curls (as struck). Sharply struck EDS, Manley 1.0, with several fine die cracks on the obverse but before the additional crack from the 5 to the bust. Our grade is AU50. The Large 5, Stems features are noted on the PCGS label. Estimated Value $750 - UP
From the Raymond Gatzke Collection.

Realized $1,860
