1804 C-7 R4 Spiked Chin EF40. Very attractive glossy light chocolate brown with lighter brown and tan toning in the protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and nearly void of marks or other defects. A tiny rim nick under the first 0 in the denominator is the only notable mark, and it is barely visible. E-MDS, Manley state 4.0, with several fine die cracks on the reverse and a stronger crack through the top of the F in OF. Graded VF35 by Noyes, his photo #89086. A really nice example of this very rare die state, certainly among the finest known. Estimated Value $6,000 - UP
