1804 C-5 R4 Spiked Chin PCGS AU Details Cleaned. Frosty medium chocolate brown and steel with small puffs of slightly lighter brown toning on the neck into the field over the bust. No spots or stains. The only marks are a dull scratch in the field before the neck and some faint hairlines on both sides (which must have generated the "Cleaned" assessment by PCGS). The toning on this piece is original and attractive. None of the marks is visible to the unaided eye and it appears the hairlines were the byproduct of an improper brushing. M-LDS, Manley state 5.0, with an additional fine die crack from the leaf above the F in HALF. The Spiked Chin feature is obvious. Our grade is AU50, sharpness net EF40. The Spiked Chin feature is noted on the PCGS label. Estimated Value $700 - UP
Ex eBay-Raymond Gatzke Collection.
