Lot 1210

1876. PCGS graded MS-66. Rich golden toning on both sides with sparkling mint surface in the fields and a sharp strike on the devices. This is the centennial year issue of our country but was struck in very limited numbers. Reflective fields on both sides. Some light reverse lines in the planchet as made were caused when the planchet was rolled out between two massive steel rollers, which in this case left a few minor lines that still appear in the date and down to the left. Only 3,200 struck, and this is one of the finer examples seen. Pop 5; 5 finer, 2 in 66+, 3 in 67. (PCGS # 7577) Estimated Value $9,000 - 10,000

Unsold
