1840 N-4 R3- Small Date EF40. Attractive glossy medium brown and chocolate with mint frost showing in some of the protected areas, particularly on the reverse. The only notable mark is a minor planchet lamination at ES in STATES. MDS, die state b, with a series of rim cud breaks from below the 18 to star 1 and two more from star 2 to star 3. The small hub defects (lumps) below the date are still clear and the reverse is rotated 30 degrees CCW relative to the normal head-to-foot die orientation. Estimated Value $150 - UP
