Russian Cosmonauts: Rare Signed Photo by Vladimir Komarov. Also Signed Photos by Valentina Tereshkova (x 2), Valery Bykovski. Three Cosmonauts from the earliest days of the space program. 1.) Vladimir Komarov (1927-1967) a true hero of the Soviet Union who twice flew on the first iterations of their space program: Voskhod-1 and Soyuz-1. Komarov has signed his color portrait photo affixed with his commemorative stamp and a special hand cancel. Komarov is one of the most difficult to find signatures and also one of the most forged autographs aside from Gargarin. His tragic death in 1967 aboard Soyuz 7K-OK spacecraft due to a series of technical issues regarding the parachute deployment has only added interest in collecting his signature. This signed piece has been certified authentic by Steve Zarelli. 2.) Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman and the youngest to have flown in space has signed both a 5 x 7 color photo and her B&W portrait photo. Each photo has a LOA by Steve Zarelli. 3.) Valery Bykovski, 7 x 4¼ signed black and white photo, accomplished Cosmonaut having flown on Vostok 5 and Soyuz 22 & 31.
All pieces in excellent condition. Estimated Value $600 - UP
