ASTP: Collection of Four Signed Pieces of All Five Astronauts and Including Gerald Ford, US President During the Mission. Apollo-Soyuz Test Project: An historic cooperation between two Cold War superpowers signed into action by Richard Nixon and became a reality under Gerald Ford. Three American Astronauts and two Russian Cosmonauts docked in space which involved remarkable coordination between the engineers and scientists of both countries.
Four signed pieces by the astronauts of Apollo Soyuz. and the President. 1.) One deluxe Russian/Soviet cover with boast Russian and US postal cancels and signed boldly by Gerald Ford and Vance Brand. LOA by Steve Zarelli. 2.) Signed 3-image photo by Vance Brand and Tom Stafford. 3.) The same 3-image photo, second copy, is signed by Leonov and Kubasov. Top half photo is excellent of Stafford and Leonov shaking hands for this historic occasion. 4. Final piece is a photo signed by Deke Slayton signing illustrated image of docking between the two spacecraft. All pieces in excellent condition. Estimated Value $400 - UP
